This study analyzes how institutional familialism manifests in the areas of income security, education, and care in South Korea and derives its implications. Institutional familialism is reflected in various socioeconomic institutions and policies, and its influence can be confirmed in the scope of family support, educational institutions, and care policies. Such familialism can lead to an overload of family functions and exacerbate social inequality.
