Summary
This study examined the effects of job insecurity on baby boomers’ health and the extent to which these effects are moderated and mediated by a sense of mastery. The results showed that higher levels or changes in job insecurity were associated with more physical symptoms, and a sense of mastery moderated the relationship between changes in job insecurity and physical symptoms, while partially mediating the relationship between job insecurity and health.
