Summary

This study evaluated the diagnostic value of T2* mapping using 3D multi-echo Dixon gradient echo acquisition on gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver MRI to assess its potential as a tool for liver function assessment. T2* reduction rates showed significant differences between the normal liver function group and the severe liver damage group, suggesting that T2* mapping may provide supplemental information for liver function deterioration in patients with severe liver damage.
