Summary

This study proposes an evaluation and instructional plan for building block learning in the elementary school mathematics curriculum, suggesting a shift from the existing geometry-centered learning to pattern learning connected to letters and expressions, creativity, and computational thinking. By providing an executable expression-based learning environment where learners can code and immediately check the results, the study aims to expand the educational significance of building block learning and provide a meaningful teaching-learning direction for both teachers and learners.
