Summary

This study analyzed the needs of graduate students for English education for their academic study at a university in Seoul, Korea. Survey results indicated that most students perceived the importance of English for their study, and listening and speaking were found to be the most difficult areas in English-medium graduate courses. Additionally, most students experienced difficulties in writing research papers and making presentations, although the frequency of scholarly activities varied by major.
