Summary

This study analyzed the needs of graduate students for English education for their academic study at a university in Seoul, Korea. Survey results indicated that most students perceived the importance of English for their study, and listening and speaking were found to be the most difficult areas in English-medium graduate courses. Additionally, most students experienced difficulties in writing research papers and making presentations, although the frequency of scholarly activities varied by major.

이 강좌는 수강생들에게 건설환경공학 논문을 잘 읽고 쓰기 위해 이론적으로 필요한 지식 (예: 동사 다양하게 쓰기, 접속사 잘 사용하기, collocation 유의해서 쓰기 등) 과 자신만의 맞춤 영어 학습법을 제시하는 건설환경 공학글쓰기와 발표의 심화 강의이다. 학생들이 국제 학술대회 등에서 자신의 연구를 말과 글로 막힘없이 표현하고 원활히 소통하려면 건설환경 공학글쓰기와 발표 수업과 연계가 되는 심화반이 필요하기에, 이 수업의 학습 목표는 아래와 같다.
