Summary

This study investigates the features of inquiry activities using technology in the 2015 revised elementary science digital textbooks. Analysis of virtual experiment, virtual reality, and augmented reality-based inquiry activities revealed that realistic and realistic-abstract inquiry types were most common, and the use of each technology varied depending on the inquiry process and science sub-domain.
