This study analyzes the utilization of modern materials included in high school Korean history textbooks and seeks ways to improve contextual understanding. Lack of source information for textbook materials and insufficient connection in inquiry activities hinder the development of students' historical thinking skills, necessitating detailed provision of material sources and background information in both textbooks and teacher's guides.
