Summary

This study analyzed the factors influencing parental school involvement using data from the Daegu Education Longitudinal Study and applying a random effects model. The results showed that socio-demographic characteristics of parents, child's gender and grade, parental self-efficacy, and school climate significantly affected parental school involvement. Based on these findings, the study suggested developing school involvement programs for parents of younger children and full-time homemakers, improving parental expectations and satisfaction, and fostering a positive school climate.
