Summary

This study aims to design a learner-centered French literature class based on the action-oriented approach, which considers learners as social actors. Specifically, it seeks to transform literature classes to focus on learners’ literary practice through performing ‘action tasks’ on literary works. A concrete class model is presented using A. Camus’ short story, L'Hôte.
