Summary

This study aimed to evaluate discomfort levels experienced by healthcare workers wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in a hot and humid environment during COVID-19 response. The PPE were classified into three levels of discomfort (Low, Middle, and High), and local thermal comfort, shortness of breath, and RPE were more valid indicators for classifying discomfort levels than overall thermal sensation.
