Summary

This study investigated the association between coffee and green tea consumption and the risk of colorectal cancer in a large-scale cohort study of Koreans. The results showed no significant association between coffee and green tea consumption and the risk of colorectal cancer in both men and women, but a significant increase in the risk of colon cancer was observed in the black coffee drinker group among women. These findings suggest that consumption of coffee and green tea may not be associated with the incidence of CRC in Korea, and the association may differ depending on cancer subsites and coffee types.
