Summary

This study revises the archival information of a Korean tourism propaganda film produced in 1939 and examines the context in which the Japan National Railways International Tourism Bureau planned a tourism film connecting Korea, Manchuria, and Beijing. The film was produced to propagate the achievements of colonial rule and for pro-American propaganda, and reveals that the image of Korea and Koreans inherited and edited existing stereotypes.
