This study proposes a plan for composing the content of essay education in elementary school, defining essay as argumentative writing based on critical reading and creative problem-solving. The direction of elementary school essay education is centered on developing thinking skills, experiencing various writing genres, a cross-curricular approach, and considering learner characteristics, and proposes text, thinking, topic, language, and communication categories as content composition elements.
