This study discusses the current status and development of language and literature gifted education related to Korean language. It distinguishes between giftedness and talent, and proposes language symbol processing ability, creative language ability, definitional thinking ability, and value thinking ability as sub-elements of language and literature giftedness. It also argues that language attitude, language life, and teaching-learning environment play an important role in manifesting language and literature giftedness.
