This study analyzed newspaper articles from the presidential election period between 1992 and 2012 using corpus analysis to examine the changes in economic growth discourse in Korean society. The analysis revealed a process of finding a balance between growth and distribution, as well as reflections on quantitative growth and a shift towards discussions on welfare. This demonstrates the effectiveness of a corpus-driven approach in discourse analysis and how the language use of a discourse community reflects perceptions of social phenomena.
