Summary

This study analyzed the concept of helicopter parenting in parents of adolescents and young adults using an evolutionary approach, identifying three attributes: hovering, deeply intervening, and deciding in their place. Helicopter parenting can lead to failure to launch and mental health issues in children, and burnout in parents, but also offers emotional stability and financial support. Therefore, the development of intervention programs to reduce negative effects and enhance positive outcomes is necessary.
