Summary

This study critically examines the concepts of creativity and convergence in Korean society from the perspective of reading and reading education. While reading is a fundamental intellectual activity for creativity and convergence, a reconsideration of the concept of reading as creativity and convergence is necessary due to its conceptual ambiguity. The study reveals a lack of discussion related to creativity and convergence in reading theories, and suggests the importance of curriculum reading, knowledge integration, and fostering cognitive flexibility in the long term.
