Summary

This study analyzed the factors influencing higher education enrollment decisions among young women graduates of vocational high schools. The results showed that household income and academic achievement were major variables in the decision to enroll in higher education, and it was suggested that the human capital effect of higher education enrollment may be greater than that of employment in the long run. This implies the need for policies to equalize educational opportunities and improve scholarship programs for low-income students.
