This study aimed to evaluate the impact of repeatedly injecting river water into the riverside alluvial aquifer in Changwon area on injection efficiency. Analysis of the mixing ratios between river water and groundwater revealed that the injection efficiency was deteriorated in the second injection test, with delayed detection of the injection effect and a reduced rate of mixing ratio increase. Therefore, adequate water treatment before injection and repeated pumping or resting phases afterward are necessary, and the injection tests verified a partial improvement in water quality in the saline aquifer.
