Summary

This study investigated copper recovery from copper slag through mineralogical characterization, physical beneficiation, and mixed meso-acidophilic bioleaching tests. Flotation achieved a copper grade of 2-4% with a recovery of 42-46%, while bioleaching using a mixed culture of iron and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria resulted in a high copper recovery of 92-96%.
