Summary

This study determined the vapor-liquid equilibria of the binary system of carbon dioxide and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tridecafluorohexylsulfonate ([BMIM][TDfO]) using a high-pressure variable-volume view cell. The experimental results showed a marked increase in CO2 solubility as the alkyl chain length of the perfluorinated sulfonate anion increased.
