Summary

This study investigated the mediating effect of cognitive coping strategies on the relationship between multidimensional perfectionism and anger expression, using survey data from 238 university students. The results showed that self-oriented perfectionism directly influenced adaptive anger expression, and adaptive cognitive coping directly influenced adaptive anger expression. Furthermore, socially prescribed perfectionism had both direct and indirect effects on maladaptive anger expression, with adaptive cognitive coping mediating this relationship.
