This study explored the usefulness of the MMPI-2 in assessing PTSD symptoms in firefighters by surveying and analyzing 997 firefighters in Seoul. The results showed significant correlations between several clinical and restandardized clinical scales of the MMPI-2 and PTSD symptoms, particularly scales Pt, Sc, Hs, RCd, RC7, and RC8. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that scales 7(Pt), 9(Ma), 2(D), 1(Hs) and RCd, RC1, RC3, RC9 were significant predictors of PTSD symptoms.
