This study analyzes the 2010 local elections and identifies the party nomination system as an institutional factor leading to excessive influence from central politics and parties. It particularly points out that confusion among voters regarding candidates is exacerbated under simultaneous elections and multi-member district systems, emphasizing the importance of parties, and stresses the need to enhance voter interest and support rational voting choices through improved electoral environments.
