This study investigated the time allocation and emotional experiences of dual-income couples with young children using the Experience Sampling Method (ESM). The results showed that wives spent more time on housework and childcare than their husbands, leading to differences in daily time allocation between spouses. Additionally, husbands reported more positive emotions in their daily activities compared to their wives, but experienced more negative emotions at work, while wives reported more negative emotions related to housework and childcare.
