Summary

This study analyzed whether cognitive interest and learner role immersion moderate the relationship between self-determination factors and learning persistence intention in a lifelong education environment. The results showed that cognitive interest moderates the relationship between competence and learning persistence intention, and learner role immersion moderates the relationship between competence and relatedness with learning persistence intention. This suggests the importance of fostering cognitive interest and establishing a supportive learning environment for lifelong learners.
