Summary

This study analyzed the factors influencing and the consequences of adopting family-friendly policies in Korean companies. The results showed that companies with a higher proportion of female employees tend to emphasize childcare support programs, and factors such as external information utilization by the HR department, high wage levels, company size, the presence of a labor union, management structure, and foreign management participation influence the adoption of these policies. Furthermore, the implementation of family-friendly policies was found to increase employee organizational commitment, reduce turnover, and contribute to improved company performance.
