Summary
This paper reviews the transition labour market theory developed in Europe and evaluates Korean labour market policies based on it, seeking ways to improve them. The theory focuses on managing individual transitions in the labour market to reduce social risks and enhance policy effectiveness. With the increasing labour market transitions in Korea, the study proposes utilizing this theory to pursue social integration, strengthen income support and activation policies, and establish a Korean-style flexicurity model.
