This study explores a method of forming verb phrase awareness through movie utilization to improve the writing skills of adult English learners. It proposes a class procedure using the movie Freaky Friday (2003), encouraging learners to perform writing tasks based on specific scenes to stimulate interest and motivation in using verb phrases. The study concludes that forming verb phrase awareness positively affects writing and is effective as a writing activity for adult English learners.
