This study examines the original experience and reconstruction of the Korean War in Lee Cheong-jun's novels, analyzing how the trauma of war is transformed through motifs such as the "bonfire." Based on his childhood experience of the war, Lee Cheong-jun critically depicts the violence of war and the oppressive social reality, and in his later works, seeks to heal past wounds and achieve reconciliation.
