This study empirically examined the effects of professional golfer characteristics (age, career tenure) and tournament competitive intensity on players’ performance using KLPGA data. The results showed a positive relationship between golfers’ age and average score, and a negative relationship between career tenure and average score. Furthermore, higher tournament competitive intensity was found to be associated with improved player performance.
