Summary

This study investigated the effects of nickel chloride exposure on the survival rate, falling rate, and histopathological changes in the abalone Haliotis discus hannai, as well as nickel concentration within the abalone. Nickel concentration in the abalone significantly increased with increasing nickel chloride exposure, and the exposed groups showed lower survival rates and higher falling rates compared to the control group. Histopathological examinations revealed prominent pathological changes in the foot, gill, and hepatopancreas of the exposed abalone.
