Summary

This study examines the human understanding in existential philosophy and the educational theories of Buber and Bollnow to overcome the dehumanization phenomenon in modern education. The essence of education has become focused on utility, leading to alienation and meaninglessness among teachers and students, and the study argues that education through existential encounters can resolve these issues. The research results are expected to enhance the understanding of humans as subjective beings in education and contribute to overcoming alienation and dehumanization.
