Summary

This study analyzes how current high school German textbooks’ listening practice tasks reflect learner-centeredness and autonomous learning from the perspective of radical constructivism. Effective listening practice tasks should include activating prior knowledge before listening, taking notes during listening, and utilizing information after listening, and should encourage active participation of learners by utilizing both verbal and nonverbal elements.
