Summary

This study presents a method of providing arts education opportunities to students in economically and geographically disadvantaged areas through the Korea Mecenat Association’s arts education support cases. Through corporate and university research institute support, a specially designed art education program (including expression, creation, decoration, and traditional art experience) is provided to enhance students’ familiarity, confidence, and sense of accomplishment. In particular, Korean paper doll making showed educational effects, and this study provides implications for public education and the social role of mecenat.
