Summary

This study qualitatively analyzed the characteristics of integrative thinking in sixth-grade art gifted students participating in art-science fusion classes. The results revealed two characteristics: ‘integrative thinking through a holistic approach’ and ‘integrative thinking based on scientific logic,’ which were observed in their problem-solving methods, attitudes toward environmental situations, and understanding of art. These findings are expected to provide practical assistance in operating a convergent gifted education curriculum.
