Summary

This study investigated the mediating effect of perspective-taking on the relationship between soldiers’ perceived parental rearing attitude and military adaptation. The results showed that perspective-taking partially mediated the relationship between parental rearing attitude and military adaptation. This suggests the need to improve perspective-taking skills when counseling soldiers experiencing maladjustment to military life.
