This study introduces the ‘European Principles of Trust Law’ with its original text and translation, which has not been well known in Korea. These principles aim to harmonize and maximize the flexibility of trust systems, based on the consensus of common law and civil law countries. The research finds that the principles largely align with Korean trust concepts, but some concepts, such as a declaration of trust, differ, and provide implications for the future direction of Korean trust law revision and consideration of international convention accession.
