Summary

This study examined the mediating effects of emotional regulation and social self-efficacy on the relationship between parental attachment and peer bullying defense and bystander behavior in middle school students. The results showed that attachment influences defense behavior through emotional regulation, and there are gender differences in the mediating pathways. This suggests that gender differences should be considered when developing peer bullying prevention programs.
