Summary

This study developed an error testing tool for Chinese language learners' misreading, mistranslation, and miswriting, and analyzed the results of a test conducted on 1,660 middle and high school students across 18 schools nationwide. The analysis revealed that high school students and those who completed the Chinese language curriculum made fewer errors than middle school students and those who did not, and suggested measures to reduce errors, including Chinese grammar education, Chinese character writing practice, individual learner error identification, and presentation of representative error cases.
