Summary

Both France and Korea have guaranteed the independence of parliamentarians through parliamentary immunity, but in Korea, the system has recently been modified in a restrictive direction due to the abuse of immunity. Absolute and perpetual immunity, directly recognized by the constitution, cannot be expanded or reduced by law, and excessive acts of parliamentarians can be sanctioned by parliamentary discipline.
