Summary

This study analyzes changes in the port environment due to changes in the shipping industry, establishes the concept of a future eco-friendly port, and derives implications through case studies of the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands and the Port of Hamburg in Germany. It proposes specific countermeasures for domestic ports to develop into high-productivity, eco-friendly, and automated ports. Currently, the domestic technology level is 3-5 years behind that of European advanced countries.
