This study examines the cultural state and base of Oral Literature in the Gyeongsangbuk-do district and analyzes the creation and extinction of Oral Literature according to cultural changes. The study emphasizes that Oral Literature is a constantly changing entity and its content and transmission methods must change according to changes in social and cultural environments. Therefore, research on Oral Literature should consider the relationships of various members and the situation of Oral Literature rather than relying on traditional concepts.
