Summary

This study investigated the factors influencing response bias in self-reported bullying among middle school students, examining the effects of personal characteristics (hostile attribution bias, social desirability) and evaluation conditions (anonymous/identified, reference time) on bullying involvement (perpetrator, victim, bystander, defender). The results showed that personal characteristics were significantly correlated with self-reports of all involvement roles, while evaluation conditions were related to reports of perpetrator, victim, and bystander roles.
