Summary

This study analyzes the experiential narratives of 5th and 6th graders during classroom presentations to explore educational implications. The analysis revealed an average utterance duration of 36.87 seconds and a lower narrative structure development level compared to 1st and 2nd graders. This is interpreted as a result of increased learning demands and teacher-centered instruction limiting opportunities for self-expression.
