Summary

This study aimed to analyze the impact of Korean reading ability on the formation of classroom community networks, utilizing developed assessment tools and social network analysis with first-grade elementary school students in Gyeonggi Province. The results indicated a statistically significant positive correlation between reading and writing skills and in-degree centrality within the classroom community network. This empirically demonstrates the relationship between Korean reading ability and classroom community network formation, emphasizing the social function of language and the necessity of Korean reading education.
