Summary

This study examined the pathways through which school risk factors influence suicidal ideation in adolescents based on escape theory. The results revealed that a problematic teacher-student relationship was a significant direct and indirect predictor of suicidal ideation, while academic and peer relationship difficulties indirectly affected suicidal ideation through negative self-esteem, depression, and avoidance coping.
