Summary

This study investigated the anti-diabetic effects of medicinal herb extracts on the expression of hepatic Glucokinase (GCK), Pyruvate Dehydrogenase (PDH), and Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase (ACC) mRNA. Cornus officinalis, Rehmannia glutinosa, and Lycium chinense extracts promoted GCK mRNA expression, while RG and LC extracts increased PDH mRNA expression, and LC extract increased ACC mRNA expression.
