Summary

This study investigated social studies teachers' perceptions of curriculum improvement activities to explore ways to enhance their teaching expertise. The results showed that teachers highly recognized the need for administrative and financial support and reflective activities, but responded that teacher collaboration and cooperation with subject matter experts were insufficient. Furthermore, collaboration among teachers, teacher communities, schools, universities, and educational offices is important as subjects of curriculum improvement activities, with a particularly high need for cooperation with universities and families.
