Summary

This study proposes measures for the conservation and promotion of cultural properties, premising that cultural properties are important cultural assets for understanding the lives of humankind. Specifically, it examines changes in Korean legal systems and policies related to cultural properties after the establishment of the Cultural Properties Protection Act in 1962 and seeks future development directions aligned with a cultural state. It analyzes the validity and limitations of government regulations and considers changing legal systems and policy processes to present development directions for cultural property legislation and policies.
